Safford Acid Plant Caustic Scrubber Stack Replacement

SCOPE:

Demolition, fabrication, and construction services required to replace the existing steel stack with a new FRP stack, including the steel support structure, platforms, and crossover duct.

  • Design, supply, and installation of a 125’-tall FRP exhaust stack to replace the existing steel stack.
  • Completed the scope and handed over the area to the plant a week prior to the scheduled shutdown finish date, approximately 20% under budget.
  • Modular construction of the steel support structure to minimize the shutdown duration.
